Rattlesnake Jake

Saw Rango with during our week together. It is an incredibly well-written, well-animated movie that has incredibly deep and complex characters, a compelling protagonist, self-aware humour, among a plethora of other marks of a great film. I hope to be able to write for such a film someday.

Regardless, this character is Rattlesnake Jake, and he is unarguably the most imposing and all around awesome character in the movie. He is not the MAIN antagonist, but once he makes his entrance, he dominates the screen (both literally, due to his size, and figuratively). Here's my crack at him. Interesting fact! His voice actor is the same fellow who acted Davey Jones in the Pirates of the Caribbean!

Jake, while a cold-blooded killer as is typical for any snake character in such a movie, has an honour-code, and while he may not be a person most would admire, he is certainly one to be respected...and feared.
